Looking at Yaya Dacosta in the avatar of Whitney Houston, it feels like she was the only one who was meant for portraying the memorable singer in her biographical film. Even though the transformation appears so convincing, it was not actually an easy one as the actress had to put intense efforts to get into the character.

Not only she had to invest most of her time in researching and practicing Whitney’s mannerisms, Yaya even had to face the challenge of depicting the addictive side of the award-winning artist. As much as the role was demanding, it helped the star prove that models can be great actors too!
