Katharine Ross – Retired at Age 80
A lot of young actresses move to Los Angeles hoping to be cast in that one breakthrough role that will propel them to stardom, but instead, they end up waiting forever. Thankfully, for Katharine Ross, she got her big break when she was cast as Elaine Robinson in the cult classic movie The Graduate, which even won her an Oscar nomination.
By the time the 70s rolled in, the actress was married for the third time and she was almost semi-retired by choice until 1975’s The Stepford Wives was offered to her. Now, happily married to A Star Is Born actor Sam Elliott, this 79-year-old star is happily retired and living life king-size.
