Tina York – Still Singing at Age 67
German pop singer Tina York achieved her peak success in 1975 when she sang “We Don’t Let Us Be Banned from Singing.” Her musical journey began at 14, when she tried to record her first single, unsuccessfully.
The struggle continued until she was signed on with CBS, and worked with producer Jack White. Although she tried to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, she placed last in the qualifiers and missed her change. York is now divorced and lives in Berlin.
