George Chakiris – Jewelry Designer At 84

This Academy Award-winning actor is most remembered for his portrayal of Bernardo in the musical tragedy West Side Story. George made his debut on the silver screen in 1947 but it was only after a decade that success knocked on his door. Along with acting, he also had a brief singing career and in 1996 he bid adieu to the film and TV world. The retired dancer found a new passion for jewelry making and has been successfully running his own brand of sterling jewelry. With his charming personality, it’s hard to believe that this Greek is now 84. Undoubtedly, the saying “age is just a number” suits him best!
