Joanne Woodward – Struggling With Alzheimer’s At 88

Her mother used to say, “she was the prettiest girl in town”. Well, she was not exaggerating at all! Looking at her old picture, we couldn’t agree more that young Joanne Woodward was one of those actresses who could make anyone fall in love at first sight. And she did – her husband Paul Newman fell for her the day he first saw her. After performing in various television shows and films, she appeared in The Three Faces of Eve and became a star as she won an Oscar for her role. At the age of 88, she is not active anymore as sadly, she is now battling Alzheimer’s.
