Sidney Poitier – Living A Quiet Life At Age 91
Did you know that Sidney Poitier is the first ever black actor and Bahamian-American actor who took home the Best Actor Awards at the Golden Globe and Academy Awards? This was because of his outstanding performance in the movie called Lilies of the Field in 1963. His other notable performances were in films like Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and To Sir, with Love. Poitier’s fortune in the bank has grown tremendously, thanks to the work he has also done as a director. For about a decade, Poitier was able to assume the role of Bahamian Ambassador to Japan.
